The concept of the Culinary Way of St. James is simple: first let hikers go up in the mountains during a 3-4 hour hike – or a challenging mountain bike-tour -, next treat them with fabulous food in a mountain-hut created by awarded chefs (out of the valley or from abroad). During the many years of the Culinary Way of St. James, CommuniGate was responsible for the press work in the Netherlands and Belgium and advised on Dutch/Belgian chefs to come over to Paznaun-Ischgl to participate in the culinary event. Among them the Michelin-star chefs Jacob Jan Boerma and Onno Kokmeijer. The approach paid off – Ischgl is known as one of the top-gastronomy destinations in Austria.
