Glamping in nature
Huttopia, the French specialist for nature-campgrounds – at that time mainly located in France – hired CommuniGate for building name-awareness in The Netherlands and Belgium. The brand wasn’t really known, neither was the product. We developed a strategy based on storytelling, since the philosophy of the founders and the product they offer – ‘glamping in nature’, offered so many great angles. CommuniGate developed a year-round PR approach for corporate and marketing PR. Stimulate exposure in a wide range of media:
• Building up awareness through a press-file in magazine-style,
• Encourage selected travel-writers, bloggers, and social influencers to spend some days at a Huttopia site,
• Inviting media for a multiple day press-event at the first Huttopia-camping De Roos – taking their family for a true Huttopia experience. A very balanced program with a press presentation (media only), a BBQ for all (media plus family), a boattour to explore the beautiful surrounding (media plus family) and a lot of free time to experience the Huttopia way of life.
• Generate interviews with selected media to share the corporate story
• Personal media approach, cherry picking the best matching stories for the Tier1 media
• Regular press release and press texts to inspire media and bring the brand top-of-mind
The diverse PR-approach resulted in a strong presence in the Tier1-media, including titles as De Telegraaf, Libelle, Ouders van Nu, Kampeer & Caravan Kampioen, TravelValley.nl and The Outdoors.nl.
